What is the Bespoke Experience?
Designed exclusively for you - no templates, no limits, every detail made to tell your love story.
At A Little Bit of Loveliness, bespoke means far more than simply choosing colours or fonts from a set design. Every invitation suite we create begins with your unique story and vision, designed entirely from scratch to capture the essence of your wedding day. From digitally drawn illustrations of your Scottish venue to envelope liners inspired by your tartan, flowers, or a cherished location, no two designs are ever the same.
Each suite is created with timeless artistry and meticulous detail, ensuring your stationery is every bit as individual as you are. This is wedding stationery designed to be treasured as a keepsake for years to come - a true reflection of your story, told through luxury design.

What Bespoke Means to Us
For us, bespoke isn’t about tweaking an existing template.
It’s about starting with a blank page - every single time - and creating wedding stationery that is truly yours.
When you choose our bespoke service, you can expect:

-
A design created exclusively for you - No pre-made layouts, no recycled templates. Every couple’s suite is a one-off.
-
Personal touches woven into every element - From your venue illustration to envelope liners inspired by your kilt tartan, bouquet flowers, or a meaningful location.
-
Unlimited creative possibilities - Colours, fonts, layouts, bellybands and wax seals all chosen to reflect your style and wedding vision.
-
A collaborative process - We listen to your ideas, offer expert guidance, and refine every detail until it feels perfect.
-
Luxury materials and finishes - Carefully chosen card stocks, print techniques, and hand-finished details for a truly premium feel.
How We Work – From Proof to Perfection
Once we’ve finalised your design, we’ll create a detailed digital proof for you to review.
This is not just a rough sketch - it’s a highly accurate visual representation of your final stationery, showing the exact layout,
fonts, colours, and finishes.

We know that seeing is believing, and our proofing process is designed to give you complete
clarity before anything goes to print.

Our digital proofs are so precise that we don’t need to produce physical proofs. What you approve on screen is exactly what you’ll receive in print. This allows us to save time, reduce waste, and keep your project moving forward without compromising on accuracy or quality. You’ll be able to view your proof from the comfort of your home, request any changes you’d like, and feel completely confident before we proceed to printing.

“Your stationery should feel as perfect in your hands as it looked in your imagination — our proofing process makes sure of it.”

Layout Styles
We offer two main invitation layout styles Classic and Gatefold.
Both work beautifully for any type of wedding and each has its own key design features.
When choosing your preferred style, the first thing to think about is whether you’d like separate cards for each section
of your stationery, or whether you’d prefer everything contained in one card.

Classic Layout
As the name suggests, the Classic is a flat A5 card that carries the main body of your invitation. This style is typically paired with additional cards for guest information, RSVP details, or other wedding day notes.
It’s timeless, versatile, and perfect for couples who like the layered, multi-card look.
Pros & Cons
Classic
-
Pros: The most cost-effective option and ideal if you want something simple and understated.
-
While this style has less space for artwork, we can still add plenty of personality through thoughtful design choices.
-
Cons: Less room for elaborate illustrations or multiple design elements compared to a Gatefold.
Gatefold Layout
The Gatefold is the perfect “all-in-one” option.
The main invitation sits in the centre, while the two folded side panels provide space for guest information, RSVP details, or other key elements. It offers a beautiful unfolding moment for your guests and keeps all details neatly in one place.
Pros & Cons
Gatefold
-
Pros: Perfect for making a statement. With both the outside and inside panels to work with, there’s so much more opportunity for beautiful details. Our signature wraparound illustration style is especially striking in this format and creates something truly unique your guests won’t have seen before.
-
Cons: Slightly more expensive, as it requires a bellyband or wax seal to keep it closed.
Each layout style has its own advantages, and we’re here to guide you
through which will suit your wedding vision best.
A Note on Mixing Styles
Some couples choose to use both - Gatefolds for their Day Guests (where more information is needed)
and Classics for their Evening Guests (where less detail is required).
This creates a cohesive suite while keeping costs manageable.
Additional Suite Pieces
Alongside your main invitation, we can design matching cards to complete your suite:

-
Website Cards (A6) - A compact card, perfect for sharing your wedding website or a QR code so guests can easily access all the details online.
-
Information Cards (7x5) - Can be double-sided to include all your essential info, such as accommodation, transport, itinerary, and any special instructions for guests.
-
RSVP Cards with Return Envelope - The traditional reply method, with space on the front for guests to confirm attendance. The reverse can be tailored to include menu choices, dietary requirements, song requests, or even transport needs like bus reservations.
Every element is designed to coordinate perfectly with your main invitation, creating a cohesive and luxurious
first impression for your guests.
Luxury Card Stocks
We offer two carefully selected premium card stocks, each chosen for its quality, print finish, and ability to bring your bespoke design to life:

-
Smooth Silk – A bright white, ultra-smooth card that delivers a crisp, modern finish. Perfect for full-colour designs and our signature wraparound illustrations, it provides the ideal base to showcase vibrant, detailed artwork.
-
Tintoretto Gesso – An Italian textured card with a soft, off-white tone and a subtly hammered surface. Ideal for softer, watercolour-style illustrations, it has an old-world charm and a tactile feel that adds depth and character to your stationery.

Envelope Colours
Your envelopes are the very first glimpse your guests will have of your wedding, so choosing the right shade is an important part of the design. Our curated collection includes everything from rich, dramatic tones to soft, romantic pastels all selected to complement our bespoke stationery.

It’s the little details that make your stationery truly unforgettable. We offer a range of luxury embellishments to personalise your suite even further:

-
Custom Envelope Liners – Add a hidden layer of beauty with a printed design inside your envelope. From hand-drawn venues and romantic florals to Scottish landscapes or your kilt tartan, this is one of our signature touches.
-
Printed or Vellum Bellybands – A beautiful way to hold your suite together, either with a coordinating printed design or a translucent vellum band for a soft, romantic finish.
-
Wax Seals – Choose from a range of colours and designs, including custom monograms, to add a timeless flourish to your invitations or bellybands.

Every finishing touch is carefully chosen to complement your design, creating that extra wow moment when your guests open their envelope.

It’s the little details that make your stationery truly unforgettable.
Both printed and vellum bellybands are wonderful optional extras for any invitation suite. Printed bellybands are a great way to add another design element or introduce a statement colour to tie in your palette. Vellum bellybands bring an extra touch of luxury and work beautifully when wrapped around a design with a lot of colour, allowing the artwork to softly show through. Bellybands pair perfectly with our Classic layout - to neatly stack your invitation with additional information or RSVP cards or with our Gatefold layout - to keep it securely closed
Gatefolds are the only layout that require a bellyband or a wax seal to complete them. Wax seals can be placed on the front of a Gatefold, used to seal outer envelopes, or even added to Save the Date envelopes for a touch of elegance. Available in a range of colours and designs, including custom monograms, they add a timeless, tactile detail that guests love to receive.
